Oyibo is a Marine / Mechanical Engineer. The last 25 years, Oyibo has mainly worked as a Site Manager/Owners Engineer for Power Plant projects. Focus was mainly (sub-Sahara) Africa but also the Middle East, North and South America and Europe. Projects were Diesel and Gas reciprocating engines and Gas Turbines (with or without additional Steam Turbines) and Biomass CHP equipment (non-recyclable wood).
As per date, Oyibo visited more then 60 percent of the world
countries, missing Australia, Japan and Russia as the most noticeable.
Oyibo has done projects on 5 continents vary from (small) Diesel high
speed Fast Track projects to large scale Gas Turbine in Combined Cycle setup.
But size does not always matter. The large scale projects are not necessarily better then the small scale projects. Usually the smaller projects are much more fun to do, less people, less problems and less wahala. But also less budget of course.
